Ministry of Care

We carry Jesus to those who wait for Him.

Throughout the centuries, the Church has Cared for the sick and provided spiritual nourishment for those who cannot attend Mass. Each day priests, religious and lay pastoral care volunteers visit the sick and homebound as an extension of the sacramental life of the Parish, bringing them Holy Communion and assuring them of the constant prayers of the community. No parish is exempt from these realities; we have the privilege and Honor to evangelize and care for the sick in body and spirit.

We serve our parishioners and any/all Catholics within our parish boundaries:
Group Homes
Assisted Living
Nursing Homes
Hospice Patients
*special training required

We pray, visit, bring Holy Communion and our presence to those who are unable to come to Mass. We are the Church to these brothers and sisters, extending the prayers, love and support of our Catholic faith community to the sick and homebound.

We provide training in the basic skills for pastoral visitation as well as ongoing formation, supervision, spiritual and technical support.
